Nov 8th - the Four Principles of the Mazehual: Respect, Honesty, Gratitude and Service These were the pillars of the ancient societies of the Americas. and the basic tenet of our organization. Learn what a "Mazehual" is, the ancestral meaning of Respect, and the potent effect these simple principles can have on your life. Nov 15th- How to maintain your connection with Nature in the City Reconnecting to Nature and living in Mother Earth's cycles is the foundation of our work. Come learn what tools were left behind to remember what you have within, maintain this connection, and ensure you no longer become so easily overwhelmed by the concrete jungle. Nov 22nd- Synchronizing with Nature's Cycles: the veintena (month) of Tepeilhuitl As we synchronize ourselves with Nature's cycles and harmonize with them, it is important to be present and conscious to the time we are in. That is precisely why the Tonalpohualli, the meso-american calendar system, based itself on the cycles of nature. In this lecture we will learn about the present month, Tepeilhuitl, and how it influences us. Nov 29th- Ancestral Wisdom: "Be Like the Star" The ancestral societies of Anahuak studied their surroundings and learned from them. In this "Ancestral Wisdom" series we will study some of the most poignant of their ancient advices. In this lecture we will learn how we all are luminous beings, and how to embody the lessons we can learn from the Stars. |
