Joven Maestro Akaxe in last week's Ehekapahtinime Class:

"Every day is a ceremony... and absolutely everything, all of the elements, tools and forces are in place, ready for you to learn, evolve and be happy."

Today is the day of Ehekatl (Wind) in Ochpaniztli, the 20-day cycle in which the "winds would sweep the paths." As we enter into nature's cycle of cleansing it is important to be ready for the

ceremony of today, to reflect upon the signs that nature gives all around us: the winds become stronger, sweeping away the settled dust from the last two seasons and spreading the seeds for the next year; the trees change colors and shed their leaves, shedding that which they will no longer need so that they can focus only on the essentials, turn within, and renew themselves; the animals are working hard showing will-power in the face of the coming challenges so that they will be ready to go into states of deep reflection in the coming seasons; everything is ready for us, we are being prepared, moreso we are being shown how we can prepare ourselves in this beautiful and harmonious time of shedding, healing and cleansing. In this way, we may be a conscious part of every day's ceremony.
