How to Read the Codex-Format
The format in which the Tonalpohualli Iamoxtli was made follows the ingenious format of the ancestral codexes of Anahuak, which were read from right to left.
The year begins on the first page from the right and is read from right to left following the direction towards which the symbols are facing.

the qualities in our environment and in living beings by potential and
primordial qualities
- Matlakyeipohua - in Imatlaktlamanixtime omey: The count of the bio-energetic cycles of human beings in cycles of thirteen numerical qualities and their orientation in the universe.
- Tototl ihuan Tonaltekuhtin: The diurnal qualities and its projections on conscious thought in cycles of thirteen days with their winged accompaniments.
