Learn how to interpret, understand and draw the potent symbols of the metalanguages of the Mesoamerican Codexes from temachtiani Akaxe.
Students will learn the specific process each symbol is drawn, the symbology behind colors, line-work and elements, and the method of interpretation of the symbol aglutination. Please bring a drawing notebook, drawing pencils or markers in blue, red, yellow, green, black, orange, gray. |
About the teacher:
Akaxe Yotzin is a teacher of the Arts & Sciences of pre-cuauhtemoc native Nations. He is the artist of the Tonalpohualli Iamoxtli & has 30 years polishing the craft of drawing the symbols and anlalyzing the metalanguages of the codexes. He is also a tattoo artist of the ancient symbols of Huehuetlapalehuatl: Native Symbol Skin Art.
