The Path of the Warrior-
Often referred to as a Martial Art, Yaotilliztli is different in that it is a Warrior Discipline, focused more on defeating our inner battles rather than battles with those outside of us.
Yaotilliztli contains two primary paths, the path of the Eagle Warrior and the path of the Ocelot Warrior. Within these two paths there are many other styles such as
Focused on self discipline, self-mastery and bio-energetic & physical development, we are even expected to make an oath that we will not use it unless it is in the defense of others.
Learned in the native communities in the mountain of Puebla, Mexico from elders who had kept the practice alive for generations, it is unknown how far back it reaches and if it has been influenced in any way.
But what we do know is that it has been polished by native mexican Masters to develop a system that, through meditation and a focus on the philosophies of being centered, keeping your emotions and thoughts balanced, and constantly pushing past perceived physical and psychological limitations, Yaotilliztli teaches will power, leadership of the self, service to the community, and brother/sisterhood (with our own body as well as with our community).
