Not only did the ancient Tonalpouhke (astronomers & mathematicians who developed and kept the Tonalpohualli) account for the quarter of a day it takes the Earth to orbit the Sun, but they also determined the ideal moment for the beginning of that cycle to be at the time when the Earth is being reborn: the onset of Spring.
New Trimester means new classes! And one of the classes we're adding to the schedule is Drumming!
Every Wednesday from 5:30 to 7:30 Akaxe Yotzin will teach Drumming for the Huehuetl & Teponaztli at Kalmekak in Cicero. A $5-$10 tuition for each class is encouraged as gratitude to the teacher!
